The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board's athletics' department was created in the mid 1990's to focus specifically on youth and adult athletic programs. Our team has a passion for sports and is excited to share our many opportunities with you! We offer a variety of sports programming, ranging from leagues, lessons and clinics. The team works hard to make it easy for you to find your sport, get registered and get playing!

Youth Athletics

Baseball, Basketball, Football (Flag & Tackle), Gymnastics, Hockey, Soccer, Softball, Track, Volleyball (Indoor and Sand), Wrestling

This past year we have registered 962 teams, over 10,800 participants and organized 68 leagues for our adult athletic department.

Adult Athletics

Basketball, Broomball, Dodgeball, Football (Flag), Hockey (Pond), Kickball, Pickleball, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball (Indoor, Grass and Sand)

This past year we have registered 3,877 teams, over 38,000 participants and organized 683 leagues for our adult athletic department. New to the area? We helped over 990 folks find teams and get them back on the field / court!
